30-Dec-2003 -- Whilst staying with a friend for New year I thought I would try out my new Christmas present. I had read about the DCP in a UK newspaper.
The weather was dry, overcast and cool. We found the site from the gps and using the previous visitors decriptions.
We parked the car at the farm buildings and walked the 100m or so to the point. The CP is in a brambled clearing surrounded by hedges and on one side a field drain. We were rewarded for our persistence by getting all the zeros on the gps - hooray!
The compass point photos are taken about 20m to the west of the CP as the view is very resricted from the site.
The highlight were the little yellow flowers that were all over the area, they were a really vivid yellow.
The site will change with time, there are new houses being built near the mainroad to the south. The farmbuildings near the site itself would make a great house but would you want a CP in your back garden?!
I hope to visit more CPs in the futre, happy hunting all.
