20-May-2004 -- During our traditional May vacation, Cristen and I visited her relatives in Prince Edward County. The county is a mixture of farmland, woods, beaches, and scenic small towns. It is also a windy area, making it a promising site for windpower generators.
Because the confluence is only 13.5 km from Cristen's grandmother's house, it was a reasonable time to pay it a visit as well. Sunny skies at midday were replaced by heavy cloud cover by the time we reached the confluence. It lies close to a short dirt road called Lodge Lane, near Lake Ontario.
The field to the southwest containing the exact confluence position was very muddy, so we decided to remain on the road, which brought us within 29 metres of the point. The flash was needed to get a good picture of the GPS receiver. It was a very quick and successful visit.
