05-Aug-2004 -- A few days after making a visit to 52°N 0° together with Gordon Spence and Tone, I was still at the same Scout camp.
This day I needed to buy supplies for all of the scouts in our group, so I drove west towards Colchester, one of the nearest towns. On the way there I made a small detour to the north along A12 to visit this point.
It is located just a few km north of the highway, with nice parking nearby (just where a sign indicates a public path), and the walking distance across the already harvested field was about 300 m.
Running there and back, including the time spent getting a couple of all-zero GPS images, a full 360 panorama and an image of the only manmade feature (a distant water tower still under construction), took less than 10 minutes. :-)
Afterwards I returned to A12, got to the large "Tesco Superstore" in Colchester and loaded up with all the food needed for 20 hungry scouts.
