#1: The confluence point - in a cotton field this year

21-Nov-2007 -- This is a very easy confluence point to visit; the only tricky part is remembering to start walking from the northern side of the irrigation canals.

This year, the field is growing cotton once again - not corn. It seems bizarre to be growing such a water-intensive crop as cotton here in central Arizona. I guess that's what cheap subsidized water gets you....
