13-Jan-2025 -- Instead of just coming here and snapping a few pictures that have not substantially changed since the previous visit in 2023, I decided to change things up and visit it at night. It was a cold January day (the temperature outside was just above freezing) but the wind was still and there was a nearly full moon to guide the way with clear skies. Not a human soul in sight.
After parking the vehicle on the corner of White and Parker / Peters and Nall Road, it was an approximate 300 meter nighttime walk westbound on one of the concrete walls of the water drainage system.
The only sounds other than the faint distant hum of vehicles was the sounds of some geese or birds squawking on occasion. I did notice along the walk that there were a few patches of bird poop, and a few errant shrubs that I had to hop off the concrete to avoid.
After reaching the 112W longitude, I then turned north and reached the desired latitude. The field was ploughed and dry. I snapped four pictures and one of my feet and walked back in the very cool nighttime air.
