30-Nov-2003 -- This was indeed a drive by confluence just northwest of the intersection of White & Parker Road with Peters & Hall roads. It is just north of an E-W irrigation canal and conveniently, there is an access road on its north side. Proceeding a quarter mile or so west on this road will lead you to the meridian where a well-placed plank leads over a small but dry irrigation ditch to the north leading into a freshly plowed cotton field. Less than 100 feet into this field lies the parallel and my target confluence. It was easy to get zero reading on my GPS's and after some quick pictures in the cardinal directions, we were on our way. Picture #1 looks north. Picture #2 looks east and towards the road intersection (where the power lines cross). Picture #3 looks south and shows our new 4wd DVD player that will take us to future confluences that our Eurovan or RV could not.
We had planned another confluence (33n-115w) for this trip but, because of the holiday weekend traffic and lots of stuff due at work the next day, elected to continue home.
