16-Jun-2013 -- This report describes the third out of three confluence visits that I made during a week-end in Magdeburg.
From the previous confluence point, 53°N 12°E, I returned to Magdeburg and celebrated my friend's 50th birthday and the housewarming of a 4-story house that he had been reconstructed. I actually didn't plan to visit any more confluence points after a long drive on the day before, but in the morning of the next day, I still had a 3-hour gap until I had to return the rental car in Magdeburg.
So I took the 1-hour drive to the village Eilsdorf, where the confluence point is located just south of the village entrance. According to my measurement, the exact location is 60 m east of the road in a wheat field. To avoid damage on the crops, I couldn't approach the confluence point to less than 54 m. Eilsdorf appeared to be a peaceful village (note that it was Sunday morning 6:30 AM) with half-timbered houses and dotted horses.
I drove back to Magdeburg, returned the car and walked 2 km back to my friend's house where the late Sunday breakfast was ready.
