09-May-2004 -- I came by bicycle from Berlin on that chilly overcastted day. Without any preparation, just following the directions according to the display at the GPS receiver I took the route Löwenberg – Gransee – Lindow. The final approach to the point was fairly easy while following a small road (picture #5). The confluence point is just 150 m away from that road in the center of a large meadow. The grass on that field wasn’t too high and I was able to ride directly to the spot. There is still the marker from previous visits (picture #3). The area around the CP is flat open grassland with some small forested areas once in a while. Many high seats around (picture #4). It’s a pretty spot and worth resting for a while. I had my second breakfast at the spot before heading back to Berlin. There weren’t many people out that Sunday morning. The first sight of an human being was at the gas station in the town Lindow, about 2 km south-west (picture #6). My way back turned out to be very wet. Back home I had 167 km on my odometer and a feeling of total emptiness in my stomach.
