18-May-2011 -- A trip to my friend in Norway gave me the possibility to visit several confluence points. The second one of this journey was the CP 54°N 10°E, situated only one kilometre southwest from the village border of Boostedt, Schleswig-Holstein.
After leaving the motorway A7 at the junction Neumünster, I followed the street L319 only to the village Borkenlande. Here I took a junction to the right through Augustenhof. This way is partly unpaved and quite tight but okay for normal cars. After about 5 km drive and passing rails I reached the village Boostedt. Now it was only 1100 meters to the dirt road onto a field with the CP.
Opposite the road the army has an institution located.
After parking the car at the dirt road and some minutes walking straight on, I reached the area of the CP short before a water ditch. By taking the picture of the area in a distance of 20 meters from the CP, a deer was jumping up and running away. Later while watching the pictures, I recognized the ears of the deer looking through the grass. In spite of the cloud cover the reception was very good. So it took me only a few moments to take the needed pictures and the visit was complete. The picture to North is showing the railway under the horizon.
This Confluence was very easy to visit because of the good accessibility and weather conditions. The next one should be the Confluence Point 55°N 9°E.
