05-Jun-2001 -- On June 5th 2001, after a long holiday-weekend in Germany,
we had 1 more holiday, and my family decided to visit the
"Museum of the Seas" in the beautiful town of Stralsund.
I'm not a big fan of museums, and so we made an
agreement: First my family come with me to a confluence
point, after this I come with them to the museum.
So we drove to the East, in order to find the last "undiscovered"
confluence point in Germany.
After 1 hour drive and only 1 km away from the point, I had to
leave my family in the car, because the way was ending and
I had to continue the search by feet. Crossing a little wood from South to
North, I had to get over a stream before reaching a meadow.
On the left side I saw some cows on the horizon, but according to
my GPS I had to go right. After some 100 meters, just at the
end of the meadow, the GPS shows the magic coordinates "N54.00000, E13.00000".
The last confluence point in Germany was detected! No more secrets!
The next problem was to mark the point for possible future
visitors. From inside the wood I took a raised hide and put it exactly
on the point. It's now very comfortable to stay at this cp
for a while, viewing the meadow, but what will
the hunter say? When I was able to breath again, I shot some
photos in a hurry, because my family was waiting
since nearly 1 hour in the car!
I reached them after 90 minutes, but with my words:
"Let's make a photo of you for the Internet!" everything
was O.K. again. And the museum? It was better than I thought!
