20-Aug-2004 -- Every year in August members of the Amateur Astronomy Club of the Public Observatory Radebeul take some telescopes to the Hochwald mountain top (50.8224N, 14.7264E, elevation 752m) to observe the sky far away from the light pollution of major towns. On a cloudy day we visited the nearby confluence 51N 15E.
Recommended hiking tour from Germany via Poland to the confluence in the Czech Republic (approx. 6km): The tour starts in Ostritz at the borderline between Germany and Poland. Behind the checkpoint turn left, take the main road through Krzewina and follow this road to Lutogniewice. Close to Lutogniewice there is the borderline between Poland and the Czech Republic with a checkpoint at 51.0041N and 14.9807E. A farm track leads you to Andělka. The confluence is located in the eastern part of this village.
