13-Feb-2005 -- Time to make the first visit of the year, after all it is February. I have to pop down to a customer's house to get a document signed off and noticing that they live within 5 miles of this point...obviously another revisit was in order. Besides, nobody has been there in February before.

I have visited this point on several previous occasions (3 actually), it is after all the nearest point to my home and so simple to get to. Park at the side of the road - in the entrance to the disused farm; probably another tribute to EU subsidies killing of super efficient UK farms to line the pockets of corrupt inefficient farms elsewhere - and you just have to walk into the field opposite.

I spotted someone at the house next to the farm so thought that this time I could actually ask permission first. This wasn't the land-owner of the field the CP lies in. It turns out that the farm is owned by the local co-operative, if I wanted to ask the farmer's permission then "back to the cross roads, turn left, 2nd farm on the left".

We had a chat about what I proposed to do and I was assured that it wouldn't be a problem so just to go ahead. I promptly did and was on my way again in 15 minutes.
