16-Oct-2003 -- This is a special visit today, it is going to be broadcast on our local radio station http://www.bbc.co.uk/england/radionorthampton/ I have been contacted by the roving reporter there - Willy Gilder and have already done a live 5 minute slot on the Monday evening show.

I met up with Willy at the radio station and recorded the first part of the interview standing outside - at which time we were 17.2 miles from the confluence point. I explained what the project is about and why we choose to follow this slightly unusual hobby, then into the car and off we go!

Pulling up alongside the road about half an hour later and we start recording again, recording all the way to the exact spot, including doing the "confluence dance"!

Last time I was here, the field was empty, this time there were about 200 sheep, the exact point was marked by a "bit of sheep poo". Pictures 1 through 4 show the four cardinal points. Picture 5 is the GPS montge to prove the visit. The last picture is Willy on the spot, contemplating buying a GPS unit.....

We came back via a different route past the famous Stowe School http://www.shtp.org/ the school has only been there since 1923 but construction started on the building in the 1680's

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day out.
