14-Jun-2004 -- Last week we did two International visits (54°N 3°W and 54°N 2°W). I knew that Werner & Peter were not leaving the UK until Tuesday and so we arranged to fit in two more visits, including a visit to the Prime Meridian.
First up today is the nearest point to my house, just 27 miles in a straight line. I have been here twice before, the last time with a reporter from BBC Radio Northampton, that visit was transmitted later the same day.
We had a simple drive here, not needing the SatNav, I know where it is!
It is a lovely hot summer day here and we parked up in the late afternoon sunshine opposite the field entrance. As the last visitor noted, the field is currently full of sheep. Fortunately lambing seson is over so we won't disturb them.
A quick 500 yards later and we are on the spot, unlike 54N 02W last week we all announced "we are here" within 5 feet of each other. It looks the same as my last two visits - North, East, South, West. The grass is a little bit longer though.
The GPS shows we are spot on and the last photo shows Werner and Peter.
On to the Prime Meridian
