26-Jul-2004 -- A visit to Blighty gave us the opportunity to to visit CP N52 W1. We took the junction 9 off the M40 drove through Bicester on to Buckingham. There we turned left onto the A422, overshot the CP, drove back and ended up parking in the entrance to the scrap yard.

After a short talk to the owner, who almost sent us along another road to the wrong side of the river Great Ouse, we backtracked the few metres to the main road and climbed the fence into the field between the scrap yard and the Cox and Robinson country store.

From there it was a couple off hundred metres to the CP. There were no sheep to disturb our progress (but lots of pieces of wool lying in the field indicating their previously occupancy) so we arrived a short time later and took the usual photos, had a look at the river Great Ouse to the south of the CP and returned to the car. Unfortunately a tight schedule made it impossible to visit any other CPs - next time maybe.
