12-Jun-2005 -- We had just been to Sherwood Forest, and decided to try and get to our second CP for the weekend. We came to the area heading South on the A5097 and turned into Cottage Pasture Lane, where we parked the car at the end, and headed into the field to the left of the car.

This field followed along the side of a drain, and we could only get as close as 45m from the spot, so we headed back to the car where there was a bridge over the drain.

We were on the right side of the drain, apart from the brambles and long growth this should be easy now, but as we were getting closer to the spot we come across a large impenetrable hedge, and we were still 25m away. I could not see through the hedge, and the drain was not 75m wide, so I was thinking there must be another field between the two points that we got to. Took a few photos of the area anyway, and head back to the other side of the drain, but no luck.

With time running out, we called 25m the spot for today, but will go back on another trip to get all the Zero’s that I like to get. Looking at an aerial photo now at home I can see that there is another field between the two points that we reached. The good thing about the visit was that there was no water about apart from the drain, and a lot of wild flowers about. We will be back.
