14-Nov-2002 -- On a business trip to mid-England, I flew in to Birmingham, got a rental car, and drove to my meetings about an hour away.

When the meetings were over, it was already too late to get back to Oslo that day, so I decided to try to make it to a confluence instead, before getting a hotel at the airport.

Before leaving home I had (naturally!) checked out the project site, and realized that N53 1W was both the nearest, and the most accessible point.

I drove up along A46 (see pic #2), while racing the setting sun. I had been told that it would get really dark around 17:30 norwegian time (16:30 local/GMT time), and by the time I made it to the end of the little side road, the sun had already set.

I ran into the fields, jumping a couple of gates along the ditch that had been mentioned in the previous visits, and by 17:28 I was withing 40m of the exact spot. There I took a photo of the GPS (pic #3, note the time!), and then a series of photos for a 360 panorama (pic #1).

By this time I made it back to the car, it was so dark that I had to take the digital photos using 0.5 second exposure times, which is quite difficult without a tripod. (pic #4)
