02-Oct-2021 -- What better way to spend a wet Saturday! A very risky and wet drive let me from Rutland, up to Nottingham, and towards this Confluence Point - my first, after being introduced to it all by Phil Sharpe - who's been active on this site.
The confluence is on the edge of a field, behind a fence, and up a small, quiet cul-de-sac, off of the main road. Despite the heavy rain all day, access to the point was relatively easy going - with long, tractor squashed grass keeping the worst of the mud at bay.
Notably, the mud was distinctly red in colour - which, in my experience at least, was quite rare - must be an area rich in Iron... riveting stuff, I know!
